Learned a bit of history about Alaska at the Public Lands
Center, watched a documentary about the 1964 earthquake - scale
9.2 - strongest US quake to date. Then we went to the Wild Berry

Walked around the downtown (west portion) Anchorage on my
own. Walked along the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail and took some
photos from top of Captain Cook hotel, in The Crow's Nest restaurant. |

The sun was setting on the road back to Anchorage. This stretch
is the Turnagain Arm. We stopped by the Alyeska Hotel which

3/10/2006 Travel day - Anchorage to SF |
The 1am flight from Anchorage afforded a view of the sunrise
as we arrived at Salt Lake City airport. Then I boarded a small
Skywest plane to SF, arriving around 9:30 am SF time. |
